Product installation
1. The CDLF type vertical stainless steel multi-stage centrifugal pump should be installed vertically on the ground. During installation, ensure that sufficient cold air can enter the cooling fan of the motor. The arrow at the bottom of the pump indicates the direction of fluid flow through the pump.
2. To minimize the noise that the pump may generate, it is advisable to install anti-vibration fixing devices on both sides of the pump and between the foundation and the pump body. The connecting flanges, gaskets, bolts, and PJE couplings are provided as accessories and must be ordered separately. If cleaning, repair, or replacement of the pump is necessary, isolation valves should be installed on both sides of the pump to prevent system drainage. When installing pipes for multi-stage centrifugal pumps, it is necessary to avoid air blockage, especially on the suction side of the pump. The pipes should be installed in such a way that any stretching caused by temperature changes will not affect the pump. If the pump is installed on a long pipe, it should be properly supported at the front and back as indicated.
3. If multi-stage centrifugal pumps are at risk of being clogged by stones, leaves, small branches, etc., measures should be taken to prevent such incidents. Installing a filter screen at the suction port will suffice.
4. In some installation scenarios, the drainage pipes are already installed horizontally or inclined downward by the pump. In such cases, the water in the pump will either flow out or must do so at some intervals. The pump should be protected to prevent the impeller from running idle. A section of pipe with a vacuum valve installed near the pump can avoid this situation. The high point of the ring pipe should be at least at the same level as the connection plate of the pump's motor. In this way, the drainage pipe can drain water from the pump independently, and vice versa.
5. When the drain valve is closed, the pump is prohibited from running because this would cause an increase in the temperature/vapor formation inside the pump, thereby leading to pump damage. If there is any danger in allowing the pump to run when the drain valve is closed, a bypass or discharge pipe should be connected to the outlet. This ensures that a small amount of liquid flows through the pump. The discharge pipe, for example, can be connected to a water tank.
